Hot Dog Council Video 'Hot Dog Etiquette'
Gets You Tube's Top Billing on July 4

A video about hot dog etiquette released by the National Hot Dog & Sausage Council at the start of July's Hot Dog Month was the top featured video on YouTube July 4 and garnered more than 250,000 views during the holiday weekend. The video now ranks as one of the top 100 viewed YouTube videos of the week.

The video may be viewed at www.YouTube.com/hotdogcouncil.

"Top billing on YouTube's home page is a real honor and one that only a select few videos enjoy," said NHDSC President Janet Riley. "This position and public interest in the video is testament to hot dog's popularity in America and around the world."

The video, and dozens of radio and newspaper interviews done by Council spokespeople, helped drive traffic to the new Council web site http://www.hot-dog.org/.

Since its launch July 1, more than 8,350 people have visited the site.
